Well I have not posted in a while, wanted to update.

The car has been running fine now for the most part. Took a lot of time and money but it was worth it. That neon is the first car I ever had, didnt want to just junk it. Especially after just having all that work done to it.

Anyhow, things in my life are about to undergo a drastic change. Changing jobs. This will be my first full time job in the IT field. I am so nervous but excited about it! I am starting in three days. Really hope I do well. It is just territory I am not familiar with.

Right now im just chilling on the couch watching Garden State. Never have seen it. Surprised I havn’t watched it before considering it has the guy from Scrubs in it.

Well, I will try to remember to update this after I start my new job and detail how it goes. Wish me luck!

on May 1st 2011 we received a shitload of rain. Over the last 6 months i have put close to a grand into my car tinting windows. installing exhaust header and a full exhaust system. This rain damn near ruined that car over night.

So far i have spent $140 on tows, $200 on mechanics, $130 for interior detailing to get it fixed and it still back isnt to normal and my audio system isnt working at all.

So lately I have been putting some effort into making my car perform better. I have installed a Cold Air Intake and an UnderDrive Pulley so far. I have a 48 LED dome light I have but havn’t installed it yet.

I graduate ITT in March of 2011, around 4 more months. I will be glad to be done with ITT and am so ready to look for a more involved job.

So I just replaced my Vista 64 OS with Windows 7.

So far so good. It installed quick and found all of my hardware perfectly right out of the box. I also picked up some Updates already too.

New Semester

So I have started a new semester at ITT.

My schedule:

College Mathematics – Tuesday
Microsoft Operating Systems – Saturday
Structured Cabling – Wednesday

Microsoft OS is my favorite class this semester, even though it is more like a review to me. The people in the class are more…computer literate and fun to talk to I guess. I received a hard disk and mount for this class. It is pretty neat, 120gb hd with our OS installed on it with a removable mount rack with key. Each computer at ITT has the option to remove the HD and insert your own.

At the end of the 1st semester the schedule they gave me said I was had a Linux class instead of the Microsoft OS class. So I went through the 2 week break thinking and preparing to go to my Linux class which was on Monday. I was very excited about it because I would much rather taken the Linux class instead of the Microsoft class. Turns out they canceled the Linux class and switched everyone to the Microsoft class on Saturday. They didn’t send me an updated schedule so I ended up going up to school on Monday to a canceled class.

Structured cabling class is kind of cool. I am learning how to run network cables (Ethernet, Fiber Optic, etc) properly and efficiently. The teacher is real fun to be around and down to earth it seems like. He does have a lot of experience in the career field.

College math class is fun. Teacher is extremely sexy. She has a Russian accent and is extremely pretty. About 6 ft tall, petite, shoulder length brown hair and always wears very nice outfits. :)

To connect add-on devices to the motherboard is the purpose of the expansion bus.
Device connect to a computer via the System bus.

Unit 8 Review: Disk Drive Technologies

In hard drive geometry, CHS refers to cylinders, heads, and sectors.
Data on a hard disk is organized into sectors.
Hard drives use a dual read-write head.
When two drives are attached to an IDE cable, one is Master and the other is Slave.
IDE uses an 80-connector cable.
The most common hard drive interface in use since the 1990′s is IDE.
A single SATA port can connect 7 drives.
With IDE drives, slave/master configuration is done with Cable Select / Jumpers.
